Today mark another good friday, a day set aside to remember the sacrifice of JESUS. He paid ultimate price for our redemption, He demonstrate to us what love is all about.
We are not only to remember the day but the lesson it show to us THERE IS NO PAIN, NO PALM; NO THORNS, NO THRONE; NO GALL, NO GLORY; NO CROSS, NO CROWN.
The scriptures provide information on some of the things our Lord went through in order to pay the price for our greatness. Isaiah 53:1-12 “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth”. There are other passages in the New Testament that give vivid description of the torture and humiliation that Jesus experienced for us so that we can be redeem.
This indicate to us too, GOD IS A GOD OF PROCESS. He can wipe our sin without Jesus dead, but He chose not in other to laid example for us that process before product. Everthing we want in life require a price although it is true that God has destined us for greatness, it comes at a cost. Jesus already paid the price for the foundation to build on but we also must pay some of the price in order to attain the greatness that our God has destined for us.
We must not hate process and love product only but must be determine to pay the price of process to get a product.
- Second lesson from Good friday the cross point to us forgiveness. FORGIVENESS IS A CHOICE.
God choose to forgave us despite all our sins. This forgiving spirit that God express through Christ signifies that we have been savingly forgiven. That is, our forgiving others shows that we have faith; we are united to Christ; we are indwelt by the gracious, humbling Holy Spirit.
But we still sin (1 John 1:8, 10). So we still turn to God for fresh mercy of the work of Christ on our behalf — fresh grace of forgiveness. We cannot do this with any confidence if we are harboring an unforgiving spirit. (Remember the parable of the unforgiving servant in Matthew 18:23–35. He refused to forgive his fellow servant who owed him ten cents, though he claimed to be forgiven ten million. He showed by his unforgiving spirit that the king’s mercy had not changed him.
Jesus protects us from this folly by teaching us to pray, “Forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us” (Luke 11:4). That’s why Jesus says we ask for forgiveness because we are forgiving. This is like saying: “Father, continue to extend to me the mercies purchased by Christ, because by these mercies I have been forgiven, and I forsake vengeance and extend to others what you have extended to me.”
May you know God’s forgiveness afresh today, and may that grace overflow in your heart in forgiveness toward others. And may that sweet experience of grace in your life give you added assurance that, when you go to God to experience fresh, blood-bought forgiveness, you will know that he sees you as his forgiven and forgiving child.
‘if you have not give your life to JESUS CHRIST, it is time there is no other way than JESUS. Make up your mind today, He is willing to accept you. I can bolding says JESUS TURN AROUND MY LIFE FOR THE BEST.
If you decide to accept JESUS NOW, send me your comment and i put you through.
God bless you, Happy good friday.
